 8. Garlic and Infections

The sulfur-containing substances, including allicin, in garlic are antibacterial.  They are effective against some very harmful drug-resistant strains of bacteria including methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and some strains of E. Coli.25

Garlic has been beneficial in treating H. Pylori infection as well as bacterial vaginitis in clinical studies.26 27
