7. Laughter is a stress reliever
In studies conducted by Dr. Lee Berk and others of Loma Linda University, Linda, California in 2006 and 2008, the researchers found that merely expecting a mirthful laughter induces production of immune boosting hormones while at the same time reduces the production of stress hormones. The hormones behind these benefits are beta-endorphins and human growth hormone.
