According to research, consuming a cup of blueberries daily helps to reduce cardiovascular disease risk factors. The study results reveal that consuming 150g of blueberries every day reduces cardiovascular disease risk by as much as 15%.1✅ JOURNAL REFERENCE

The 6-month study looked at how daily blueberry consumption affected 138 obese and overweight 50 to 75-year-old individuals who had metabolic syndrome. The researchers compared the benefits of consuming 150-gram portions to 75-gram portions. The blueberries were consumed in freeze-dried form with a placebo group consuming a purple-colored alternative made of artificial flavorings and colors.

It was found that consuming 1 cup of blueberries daily resulted in sustained arterial stiffness and vascular function improvements that contributed to a reduction in cardiovascular disease risk by 12 to 15%.
